PIRATES on the HUMBER – Paddle the Humber 2020

September 20, 2020, 10:00 am - 1:00 pm

PIRATES on the HUMBER – Paddle the Humber 2020

Due to the current Covid 19 situation, we have redesigned our annual paddling fundraiser. This year’s Paddle the Humber will be a completely outdoor event that includes 2 hours of paddling, followed by a scrumptious packaged picnic lunch – catered by en Ville catering, featuring the musical stylings of Richard Seto and Catherine Barker. Experience a pirate themed paddling adventure, ‘Pirates on the Humber!’ and take a moment along the way to spot local wildlife from your kayak, canoe or paddle board – a refreshing break from the city.

• 10:00 am Please arrive at the Toronto Adventures location, King’s Mill Park – Down the “Discovery Walks” road, 9 Old Mill Rd, Etobicoke for registration including a quick Covid questionnaire
• Paddlers will be given a 10 minute instructional talk, led by a Toronto Adventures guide, followed by a Q&A.
• You will be given a life jacket and paddle included for use with your rental.
• An experienced Toronto Adventures guide will be on the water with us at all times, to make sure that everyone is safe.

Dragons Abreast thanks you for your support. You paddle with us, so we can continue our paddling journey to send a message of hope, inspiration and encouragement to Breast Cancer survivors. We paddle a ‘dragon’ boat as a symbol of our survivorship and strength. Paddling is both challenging and gratifying, in so doing, we achieve our personal best in the hope of empowering and inspiring others who are going through this life changing journey.

Thank You to our generous partners Toronto Adventures and en Ville, for making this awesome fundraising event possible.
